POLAI Press Statement on Lifting of Lotto Operations' Suspension

Mindful of the plight of small Lotto agents and outlets' operators and the welfare of their workers, as well as the welfare of needy beneficiaries of government charity programs, President Rodrigo Duterte has lifted the temporary suspension of lotto operations on account of alleged rampant corruption at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).

The Philippine Online Lottery Agents Association, Inc. (POLAI, our group, sincerely thanks Malacanang for its decision to lift the suspension.

President Duterte's recent order suspending Lotto operations has exacted heavy collateral damage on us – small time Lotto agents/outlet operators, as well our workers and the poor charity beneficiaries whom we indirectly support. We sincerely thank the President for restoring Lotto operations. We also hereby reiterate our unconditional support his anti-corruption drive in government, which every Filipino MUST support.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. - John 3:16-18
