The demand for transparency of funds continue to rock the leadership of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) Bohol chapter under the leadership of Prov'l Kagawad Brigido Imboy who is the PCL re-elected chapter president.
Executive Vice Pres. Doris Dinorog-Obena said that as a matter of "good governance" of the league, she is insisting for an accounting of funds which she voiced out during last week's executive meeting of the PCL board held at Soledad Suites, this city. Media was banned from covering the meeting.
Imboy, was quoted having said during the closed door meeting that he will present an accounting during the next PCL meeting. He asked the other executive committee members to assist in preparing the financial report. PCL treasurer, Catigbian kagawad Ayeng Lungay was not present during the last execom meeting.
However, Obena said that she will only believe on this once she can already see the actual accounting to be presented by Imboy to the executive committee. She even suggested that if Imboy can not find time to prepare the accounting of their funds, hiring of an accountant to do the job will be a practical thing to do.
The absence of a financial report during PCL meetings has been noted by its members since the PCL now meets quarterly, instead of a monthly meeting.
