Noynoy Aquino now chairman of Liberal Party

President Benigno Simeon Aquino III was named as chairperson of the Liberal Party, replacing Sen. Franklin Drilon.

Meanwhile, former Sen. Mar Roxas II was reelected LP president.

Drilon was elected vice-president.

The ruling party held the election of officers during the national executive council meeting on Wednesday at Club Filipino in San Juan. It coincides with the party’s 65th founding anniversary. (PNA)
