Standing at 416 meters above sea level, Mt. Malasimbu in Dinalupihan town offers a magnificent view of the plains of Pampanga, Bataan and Zambales. A cross also marks its peak that pilgrims visit during the easter holiday.
The mountain is dubbed as "Little Mayon,” because of its distinct conial shape, which locals use to forecast a typhoon especially when dark clouds cover its summit.
The mountain is famed for its grasslands, brushlands and streams, which cater to different flora and fauna such as Molave and Narra, common bulbul, grass owls, wild pigs, snakes, and monitor lizards.
Help us protect our mountains and forests so that they may continuously provide natural habitat to our wildlife and serve as our source of food, livelihood and other ecosystem services.
