By the Bohol ChronicleThe much delayed work at the unfinished Agora Market, which will be converted into the Tagbilaran Business Center (TBC) will resume this week, right after the City Fiesta.
This was assured by City Mayor Dan Lim yesterday whose critics started to question on when this major "eye sore" right in the heart of the city's commercial district will be finally transformed into a business center.
For more than 10 years now since the term of former Mayor Joe Torralba, the unfinished two-storey edifice right along CPG Avenue, fronting the BQ Mall, has not been completed.
Under Mayor Lim's blueprint, the build-operate-transfer arrangement, it will make this section of the city purely commercial.
Contractor Beng Ko, told the Chronicle yesterday that at a project cost of P70 million, he will complete the project before Christmas time.
The proposed Tagbilaran Business Center covers a floor area of about 10,000 sq meters, for both the ground and second levels. The center will not be a mall-type design, Ko explained. It will be a business center with branded establishments such as banks, restaurants and other service outlets.
The center will have its own parking area which can accommodate no less than 100 vehicles.
