« on: May 15, 2010, 11:27:19 AM »
By Bohol Chronicle

The administration Lakas bets for the top provincial posts made a sweeping victory in all the three congressional districts as the first automated elections drew the final results, excluding five municipalities (out of 47) as of 7 o'clock last night.

Rep. Edgar Chatto pooled the biggest votes in the gubernatorial race with 203,392 votes. Trailing behind with a margin of 55,375 votes was Vice Gov. Julius Herrera of the Nacionalista Party.

Herrera who got 142,017 votes was closely followed by movie actor/director Cesar Montano with 133,002 votes to come in third. The margin was just 15,015 as early figures showed that Montano ranked second placer in the gubernatorial race.

Chatto was proclaimed as governor last night by the Provincial Board of Canvassers even as results from four municipalities were still being awaited from Jagna, Jetafe, Mabini, Bien Unido and Garcia Hernandez.

Board Member Concepcion Lim who garnered 153,078 votes to lead the vice gubernatorial race was not proclaimed last night considering that the lead over former Prov'l Administrator Tomas Abapo, Jr (NP) was only 10,978 with results from four towns not yet included in the canvass.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
