Despite grandfather’s loss, “Samsam” will still help city

CEBU, Philippines - Even if first district Rep. Eduardo Gullas lost in the mayoralty race, his grandson, Samsam Gullas, the new congressman representing the first district, will still extend help to Talisay City.

According to Samsam what happened was the decision of the people and considers it a “blessing in disguise” because he will have the most experienced chief of staff who can focus on mentoring him.

Rep. Gullas who ran as city mayor in Talisay City lost to Johnny Delos Reyes in the last election.

He also said his grandfather can focus on managing the University of the Visayas (UV).

Aside from it, the young congressman said he will continue all the projects of the first district that were started by his grandfather.

These projects include the improvement of education, infrastructure, especially road widening, electrification in  the sitios, and water supply.  (FREEMAN)
