A youth group advocating a campaign against corruption in the government launched their organization here in
Davao City on Monday with about 2,000 youth leaders from all over Southern Mindanao attending.
Calling their group as the
Kabataan Kontra Korapsyon (KKK), lead convenor Melvin Mitra said they started organizing a little over two months ago yet they already have membership of hundreds of youth organizations all over the country.
In Metro Manila alone, Mitra said, they have about 200 youth groups joining KKK. Here in Davao City, they expect to get the support of several youth groups along with the Sangguniang Kabataan in various local government units as well. KKK launched their group in Mindanao through a “youth convergence†at the People’s Park in Davao City.
Attending the launching were Jose “Peping†Cojuangco and daughter China. The Cojuangcos said KKK is just one of the many members they have in their Pinoy Patriot group. He said their main objective is not only to ensure Senator Benigno
“Noynoy†Aquino’s victory in the May 10 presidential election but even beyond.
