Press Release - Leyte Congresswoman Lucy Torres-Gomez of Leyte 4th District and Ormoc City Mayor Richard I. Gomez conducted a site inspection of the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) Command Center headed by CDRRM Officer and Chief Resilience Officer Ciriaco Tolibao ll on July 6, Tuesday.

Funding for the project, accordingly, was derived from the 2020 General Appropriations Act (GAA) through the efforts of Congresswoman Lucy Torres-Gomez of Leyte 4th District, Ormoc City Mayor Richard l. Gomez and the Ormoc Development Team (ODT).

The said project will serve as the CDRRM office, monitoring station, and command center during disaster response operations.

According to Tolibao, the project started on  December 2020 and will be turned over to the city within this month.

During the said inspection, Mayor Gomez and Congw. Gomez raised their recommendations and revisions of the said facility to Tolibao.

Implementing agency is the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Leyte 4th District Engineering Office spearheaded by District Engineer Arnaldo Bonifacio.

SP Member Goito Yrastorza lll, SP Member Gerry Penserga together with Engr. Domardoni Cayanong of City General Services (GSD), and Engr. Milany Bernal and Engr. Albert Rojas of CEO were also present during the site inspection.
