9-month pregnant woman, father nabbed for drug pushing

LEGAZPI CITY, June 24 (PNA) -- Members of the Legazpi City Police Station and Albay Police Provincial Office's Provincial Intelligence Branch arrested a nine-month pregnant woman and her father in the act of selling shabu in a buy-bust operation in Purok 2, Barangay Sabang, Legazpi City, Albay, at about 6:20 p.m. Thursday.
Supt. Jose Esico, LCPS chief, identified the suspect as Rochelle V. Esplana, 29, on family way for nine months now, and her father, Rogelio D. Esplana, 53, a porter and resident of the place.
Esico said they had been monitoring the activities of the father-and-daughter tandem for several days and set the operation up after finding them positive to selling drugs.
He said they immediately planned for the operation and executed it.
Esico's group seized seven sachets of shabu from the suspects.(PNA)
