More town leaders and sectors have attested to Rep. Edgar Chatto as fittest to lead the province while he intensified his pre-campaign gubernatorial sorties.
Alicia officials vowed to ensure the victory of Chatto and his group in their town, foreseeing with deep conviction a more dynamic Bohol and happy Boholanos in his care.
Mayor Pedro Miasco explained to his constituents why they should go with him in his choice for next Bohol governor because by then “we are threading the path to success and welfare.â€
Miasco, Vice Mayor Jun Balajay, their fellow officials and the ordinary people made Chatto and his provincial slate feel their support-assuring presence during the 59th birthday bash of the mayor.
Chatto was accompanied by his vice gubernatorial candidate, Association of Barangay Councils (ABC) Provincial Federation Pres. Concepcion Lim, reelectionist Third District Board Members Josil Trabajo and Aster Apalisok-Piollo, and another aspirant for board member, Jagna Councilor Sene Lloren, who is a brother of former League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP-Bohol) president and Jagna Mayor Exuperio Lloren. Philippine Councilors’ League (PCL-Bohol) Pres. Brigido Imboy, also vying for a regular board member seat, sent a representative.
Miasco admitted he was then “leaningâ€to another group until he was sure he would be with Chatto in the official administration ticket.
The mayor had been keeping sight at the positioning of Chatto since he would really like to join the man whose leadership, character and service he has so “adored.â€
Miasco said he could attest to Chatto’s willingness to help regardless of partisan differences.
He witnessed in several instances a lot of needy Boholanos, including patients, who stayed in the house of the Chattos in Quezon City while awaiting their operations or already recuperating from surgeries.
Chatto assisted them from pre-operative diagnosis to getting back home in Bohol, all for free, including their subsistence.
The Chatto house in Quezon City seems like a hospital everyday, Miasco shared his observation to his birthday visitors and well-wishers.
Miasco had himself endorsed many Alicianhon patients for Chatto’s assistance. He was dismayed by the little attention that the office of another candidate for governor extended to the poor Alicianhons who sought help.
The town officials also cited Chatto’s readiness to assist the municipal eco-tourism development program.
In the Second District town of Talibon, fisherfolk and other strakeholders interacted with guest Chatto during their Danajon-wide Fisherfolk Conference.
Danajon, a sensitive marine biodiversity kingdom, is the site of the country’s only double-barrier reef and one of only so few on the entire Earth.
Danajon resources have sustained human survival and balanced the natural web of life since time immemorial. Boholanos have clamored for a leadership that is capable of sustainable development.
In Batuan, a Third District municipality like Alicia, officials commended Chatto for nationalizing the essential agricultural and eco-tourism road linking their place to the First District via Hanopol in Balilihan.
In a resolution, Sangguniang Bayan of the town praised Chatto’s effort which consequently secured the annual national fund for the important road long categorized then as a provincial road.
Chatto, meanwhile, crowned the King and Queen of Hearts at Rizal High Schoool where he was met and joined there by Mayor Gregoria Pepito and Vice Mayor Rolando Emmanuel Leyson, Jr.two days to Valentine’s.
