The wind of change is blowing into the direction of Poblacion 2 as a power-packed team of dedicated civic leaders filed their certificate of candidacies Friday afternoon.
They will slug it out in the polls with another group reportedly backed by outgoing chairman Glorivic Dela Serna, who herself is sliding down as kagawad candidate, with her son as SK chair bet.
Three-term barangay kagawad Roberto “Batchoy†Alba leads the pack vying for the highest barangay post, the chairman’s seat.
Prominent personalities ready to give their unselfish service to the barangay joining Alba as his council line-up, include: former SK chairman Kenken Requeron, Dodong Pitao, Inday Sumaylo, Mercy Pernia Olaer, Leo Suico and Nonie Culajara.
John Clyde Pitao is the group’s Sangguniang Kabataan chairman candidate.
Alba said he will offer the best of his ability as a vigilant media to protect the taxpayers’ money for clean and transparent governance.
He is known in the airlanes as a hard-hitting, no holds-barred commentator and had always fought for the welfare of the ordinary people.
Alba is an awardee for Media Excellence given by the Bohol Tri-Media Association (BTMA) and is internationally recognized by the Filipino-Hawaii Chamber of Commerce for his unselfish service as broadcast journalist. - source: The Bohol Standard
