Another
group of gun enthusiasts asked members of Congress on Saturday to pass a law that will relax existing rules on gun ownership amid proposals of a possible implementation of a permanent total gun ban policy.
Perry Punla, an advocate of total pro gun and president of Gun Enthusiast Confederation of the Philippines, said there is a need for lawmakers to draft a law that would give people “the right, not just the privilege to own a gun.â€
Punla issued the statement after a multi-sectoral group of gun afficionados held a series of meetings in Club Filipino in Greenhills, San Juan few days ago to come up with a "common voice" in airing their side on the issue of proposed permanent implementation of the total
gun ban policy now being considered by the PNP.
