Two high-profile women politicians strongly supportive of the erstwhile administration party, Lakas, have jumped ship and joined the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) chaired by
Vice President Jejomar C. Binay.
Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia and Zambales Rep. Mitos Magsaysay were welcomed on Friday to the PDP-Laban political party, which formed a coalition with the Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP) of former President Joseph Estrada.
Binay announced the duo’s inclusion as senatorial candidates of the UNA coalition.
He said
Garcia and Magsaysay are qualified to run as senators in the 2013 mid-term elections.
