Four Lawyers and other Bohol Comelec personnel will be assigned in the Province of Basilan to perform election duty in connection with the forthcoming August 11, 2008 ARMM elections.
The group is headed by Atty. Veronico G. Petalcorin, Asst. Regional Election Director, Region VII. With him includes Atty. Eliseo R.Z. B. Labaria, PES III - Bohol (Special Action Officer-Basilan); Atty. Edwin Palgan, EO III - Ubay, Bohol (Support staff - Basilan); Atty. Rafael F. Montoya, EO II-Sagbayan, Bohol (Special Action Officer - Basilan); Mr. Paul S. Bentulan, EO II, Sevilla, Bohol (Reception Committee - Basilan); and Mr. Joseph S. Soliva EA II, Maribojoc, Bohol (Counting Machine Operator - Maluso, Basilan).
The group is schedule to leave by PAL flight on July 31, 2008 via Cebu to Zamboanga route to attend briefing in preparations for the ARMM elections. The success of this automated election will the basis of the Comelec for the automation of the May 2010 Synchronized National and Local Elections.
