Police seized a cache of high-powered firearms from the house of a fake National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agent.
The police Firearms and Explosives Office (FEO) has ordered the revocation of the licenses and permits to carry firearms outside residence (PTCFOR) of Victor Arcilla Murillo, a “scrapper†from Tanza, Cavite , who was charged with estafa thru falsification of commercial documents and for allegedly threatening to kill a provincial prosecutor of Cavite.
In Resolution No. 2012-093 dated Sept. 27, Chief Supt. Raul Petrasanta ordered the immediate seizure of 10 high-powered firearms registered under Murillo's name, a “scrapper†from Tanza, Cavite .
Cavite Provincial Police Office (PPO) director Senior Supt. John Bulalacao, upon receipt of the order on the same day, immediately sent policemen at Murillo’s residence and implemented the order.
Seized from Murillo were a .45 caliber pistol, one AK 47 rifle, two Armalite rifles, two shotguns, one .357 revolver and three .40 caliber pistols.
Cavite Provincial Prosecutor Emmanuel Velasco earlier wrote Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Nicanor Bartolome and NBI Director Nonatus Rojas requesting that Murillo’s gun licenses be revoked after he falsely introduced himself as NBI agent.
The prosecutor also accused Murillo of using his (Velasco’s) name in his alleged illegal activities such as gunrunning and illegal disposal of waste products in Cavite.
Velasco also said that Murillo had sent text messages to him threatening him and even dared him to have his house raided.
