Sunday Post

Former third district representative Eladio Jala tries to swerve away from dilemma’s route in the possible clash of his close friends- -Lawyer Vic-Vic Abrenilla or retired chief captain Cipriano Madera- -in the Jagna mayoralty race in 2010.

Jala told the local media that if Jagna Mayor Exuperio Lloren will support Abrenilla in the mayoralty race, he will ask Madera to forgo his plan to run for mayor.

Jala said he will prevent Madera and Abrenilla from clashing against each other in the 2010 elections.

He said he is bound to support Abrenilla lest their party chooses the latter as their official candidate for mayor of Jagna.

By then Jala has to ask Madera to sacrifice his quest for the mayor’s post, to avoid being “torn between two lovers”, since Madera has been his close friend.

Madera has long been vocal about his intention to run for mayor in Jagna, when Lloren would finish his last term.

Madera takes pride of his contributions to the lives of many Boholanos when he was still manager of Magsaysay Shipping Agency.

With a Japanese partner behind him, he now manages Merfolk Shipping Agency.

Madera had served many companies over the years until he retired to concentrate in managing the shipping agency.

Meanwhile, Abrenilla has expressed interest on Councilor Bonifacio Virtudes Jr. to be his candidate for vice mayor.

Vice-Mayor Teofisto Pagar Jr., however, said Lloren’s group still has to set a meeting to discuss about the local slate in the municipal level.

Pagar is also among those who had expressed interest in running for mayor as he is no longer qualified to seek reelection in 2010, having served three consecutive terms already as vice-mayor.

Another Jagnaanon who had expressed interest to serve the people of Jagna is Joseph Ranolla.

Ranolla has found greener pasture in Manila and had gained pre-exposure to politics during his past stint as chief of staff of former senator Rodolfo Biazon.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
