Electricity Price Hike Petition - Join now!

The Wholesale Electricity Spot Market is a facility created by law that is supposed to be helping the household consumers. However, it has not achieved its purpose. On the contrary, it has become a major cause for the rising electricity cost for the poor Filipino family.

Please read and sign the petition  to Congress for the repeal of the law creating it. The petition can be found at http://www.petitiononline.com/wesm01/petition.html  Please click this link.

I will sign the petition. The Philippines has the most expensive electricity rate in Asia next to Japan.

Ako pod kay na 5x among electric bills sa Tagbilaran bisan walay tawo permi kay wala nay School.
Na unsa ba nga kadaku man ang nabayaran na 5x jod sa normal nga monthly usage nila.

tanan naman tingale oi. Pero ang electricity maoy secondary need pod, next to water, am I right..

Ang tubig dili kaayo kay localized man ang pag dumala & it depends also sa location kung abundant ang supply or not. Pero ang Electricity controlled man gud ni sa National Government ug pareho ang rates. Ang atong government dili man federal system, mao nga bisan tipid kitang mga Bol-anon mo gamit ug koryente, ang na save nato dili ra paigo sa pag tapal sa gansi sa Maynila. Mao nga bisan naa tay Hydro electric power, mahal lang gihapon ang atong koryente kay based man sa national level.

So once again, I urged everybody to spread the below campaign to your friends.

WESM Petition Update:

A message to all members of Worldwide Filipino Alliance

To those who signed the petition that I published on the Scrapping of
 the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) system, Thank you.
 
I sent the petition to the President even with only a few signatories
 that
signed the one on Petionoline. I have eleborately explained the issues
that were overlooked by the planners.

The President has acted on the petition on this WESM though not
 completely
scrapping it.
