Movie actor-director Cesar Montano, gubernatorial timber of the Liberal Party continues to accept candidates who do not want to be identified either with the administration Lakas-Kampi-CMD nor with the Nacionalista Party.
As of presstime last night, there were reports that former DepEd Supt. Elpidio Jala, brother of former Rep. Eladio Jala might consider options to run for congressman in the 3rd district. Another source revealed that Jala might even be Montano's running mate.
The LP bets for congressmen are city kagawad Oscar Kapirig, 1st district and lawyer Danilo Mendez, 2nd district. Cebu-based broadcaster Andy Manatad was also reported to run for congressman in the second district under the Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PNP), and not LP as earlier reported.
