Sus! pwerting sayoha nako nibutar 6:30 A.M. gihatagan ko ug priority number 2, kabalo mo unsa orasa ko naka butar? 8:45 A.M.

Mas maayo pa siguro wala nalang gi computerized, wala jud hinungdan ilang pag change to computerized. Mas maayo pa manual voting sauna kay dili ra kaabot ug 3 minutes, human na dayon kag butar.

Mga maestra sad nga gi assign, walay alamag unsay buhaton. Wala ma orient ug tarong hangtod nga daghan kaayo mga elector nga "INVALID" voting. Pwerting daghana nagyawyaw kay maayo pa daw wala nalang usba ang sauna nga pamaagi.

thanks for starting this. i was thinking of this since it is a "first". i admit not reading through news articles about this, too lazy

so yes, i am curious as to how it goes. i suspect many would be complaining. i've read the national news and there are already glitches and angry moments from the voters.

on the other hand, what was the main reason for automating this election? as for us here in the UK, we are still doing it manually. i voted through postal ballot for convenience. election here is very quick as voting ends 10 pm last May 6 and the earliest result was 1 am May 7. results are sent right away to BBC which amazes me with all the high tech gadgets used.

ang counting ra jud intawn ang madali ug kahuman pero ang proceso sa pagbotar, kinadugayan...maayo pa ka bay kay 8:45, ako 6:45 midung sa amu precinct pero 10 o'clock na ko nakabotar...hehehe, pero cge lang mada ra ug smyl, first tym pa man pod...ok ra man nang gi automated ang election pero we need more time para mapolished ang pagboto...wa lang jud to matarong ug plano tanan kay kulang sa panahon...

I was so frustrated today when I found out that my name was not in the list of voters in the designated precinct. I went home feeling down as I was not able to exercise my right to vote.

waited in line from 7:45 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. and finished the voting process in less than 5 minutes. A small sacrifice for a better nation.

It's 9:20 am and my number is 290. Number called is 65. I think I will have a long day at the voting precint...

i just hope lessons will be learnt after this election kung mao na man jud kaha niy buhaton kada election na.

sa atong nagkadakong population, we can't rely forever on manual voting...sakto ka bay jig, let's take it a lesson na lang and improve it on the next election day...ang importante lang is nakita na jud nato unsa kamahal sa mga bol anon ang atong lalawigan kay nisakripisyo gyud sila ug pila para lang makabotar...

let's look at the bright side na lang... for my dear boholano's, ok lang nang maghulat ta ug pila ka hours kung ang baylo pod is pila ka tuig nga kalambuan sa bohol atong matagamtaman...

It takes time for some voters to shade especially older folks with poor eye sight. This is one of the cause of slow turn out.

Ni suggest bitaw jud ko sa mga facilitator ganina kay gi prioritized and mga senior citizen nya maoy makalangan ug maayo sa voting kay dugay man tawn lagi maka shade nya kurog na tawn ang kamot.

Mao akong gi ingnan nga mas maayo e separate ug booth/chair aron bisan unsa orasa sila mahuman dili malangan ang uban. Almost 2 hours gud ko naghulat sa mga senior citizen kay daghan sad kaayo problema sa ilang pag shade labi na mo lapas or mahugaw ang papel e-reject sa machine. Halos mga senior citizen nga akong nasundan "INVALID". Wala man jud tawn nila (facilitator) tabangi aron madali ug kahuman. Nagpanakla tawn ang mga tiguwang kay wala ka butar sila.

There's nothing new. Ingon ana naman sa una pa. Ni grabe lang samot siguro.

Tinuod computerized na ang voting, but that doesn't change the fact nga langan-langanon gehapon ang mga volunteers (I question the word volunteers kay sa tinuod "pugos" mani esp. sa mga titsers) nga nag bantay sa mga presinto.

I can't tell if it's lack of proper training, o basin puros lang mga sigurista or wala bay trust kay puro man lagi wa-is ning mga Pinoy. Or basin nag protect lang sila sa daghang abuso... hilabi na kay bisan ug election day na, di gehapon moundang og kinamangay sa ato.

They should have enacted a law prohibiting "kinamangay, pinalitay, hinolgaay" on Election Day. Leave people/voters alone on Election Day!!! But no we don't have such a law (correct me if I'm wrong). O basin naa pero wala ma implement (Pinoy style).

Lastly, dapat ila sweldohan o tagaan honorarium mga titsers o kadtong mga gepugos ug butang sa mga Electoral precincts kay di baya lalim ilang panahon gegahin away from home or family. Naa bay stipend? Just wondering...

In every new system implementation, there is this so called birth pains experience. People tend to resist to change and acceptn new ideas and some like to live with the old paradigm. There is no such thing as absolute success of an every (IT) implementation but only a reasonable solution. The automation went generally fair except on the external processes that should have been ironed-out and should have been done with end-to-end testing weeks before the actual go-live. The grouping of precincts into clusters caused the bottleneck of the new voting process.

It's generally fair and I'm sure in the next election, areas that need improvement are already identified.

Karon gi grupo ang mga precinto into clusters. 1 cluster consists of an average of 5 to 6 precinct depende sa lugar. So kon na belong ka sa usa ka clusters with 900+ voters, murag maghulat jud ka ug 3-1/2 hours kay usa raman ka PCOS machine ang gi deploy kada cluster. Naa priority number gahapon. Puro looy, botante ug mga maestra.

Ang pag basa sa filled-up ballot dali ra siguro mga seconds ra. Kana ug way problema sa gi deploy nga machine.

Dapat sa sunod dugangan unta ang mga PCOS machines kay mao may naka langan tungod sa taas nga linya.
