It has been reported that the Mayor of Carmen has been prodded by another politician she run as governor in Bohol in 2013.

Maojud! au pa og balik nalang siya lansad og mayor sa carmen kay sigurado guro nga mdaog siya,...kaysa mo diretso siya og pagka gobernador basin masayang lang na iyaha kwarta ma pildi kay dili pa baya siya ilado kaau sa mga katawhan.,

well, one has to start somewhere... wa may nakailag mga imboy sa loay sa una.  karon morag nangambisyon na nga imboy, inc. ang bohol politics, using money naturally.  and we thought political dynasties are supposed to be shameful.  so much for legislators who never made an enabling act for this constitutional provision.

i think madam che and imboy family are different coz imboy fam of loay wala ni direct og lansad in the higher position like governor. They do a step by step from mayor to board member unlike ni madam che nga governor gyud dayon? i think it is not easy as that samot na kay ngkaduol na gyud ang election basin og pangkwartahan lang siya unya.,but anyway gibantog man kaha pud na siya nga adunahan maau sad aron matipakan na iya bahandi.. ;D

basta election time ra ba, nakamatikod ko nga modaghan ug ahat ang posters dinhi sa tb.  alegre na pod ta, in a weird kind of way.  lupig pay yamyam sa biyernes santo nang mang-post para sa ilang mga kandidatong gilabanan.  sometimes, i find it weird that bohol politics is so personalized to the point of nausea.

mao pod nay ingon nila nga nadala ra daw sa holhog ni mayor sa tagb..maldita man kuno na cya kaayo ingon ako kauban na taga carmen...wala bay nakatambag anang mayora ug manubag sa radyo unprofessional man jud cya kaayo ui, ako ramay maluuoy niya. dle man siya mag huna-huna ug unsa iya ilabay nga mga words, wala man ta maseto ug unsa jud na cya kay nikalit ramn gud na cya dre sa bohol naa man jud na cya sa manila nag permi, mao pod ingon nila nga highscol graduate ra lage daw kay bogay man daw na cya pag estudyante pa..kalooy pod sa bohol noh ug cya ang magpapili....

Well, perhaps she learned to be a mayor through the school of hard knocks. True, many politicians have a long educational background and even a stint in the legal profession or some kind of professional field, but there have been good and effective politicians with limited educational background , an example was Andrew Jackson, the 6th President of the United States.

I don't know anything about the mayor of Carmen , never heard of her until I read this thread. What kind of improvements did she effect in her town?
