Press Release: In its bid to collect lawful revenues, the Bureau of Customs through the Post Clearance Audit Group (PCAG) reports its midyear accomplishment and revenue collections during an Executive Committee Meeting of the BOC in June 2021.
In its report, the PCAG highlighted its successful collection of additional revenues from January to June 2021 amounting to PHP 542,298,069.73 million as part of the 152 Audit Notice Letters (ANL) issued.
Additionally, PCAG stated that it is optimistic to legally collect more revenues from post clearance audits from 2019 and 2020. Presently, there are 15 demand letters amounting to Php 7,625,567,484.70 billion which have become final and executory for failure of the audited importers to contest the same. These will be referred to the BOC Legal Service for filing of the necessary collection suit.
The group emphasized the importance of post clearance audit and the additional revenues that it generates especially as the nation recovers from the impact of COVID-19.
