www.theboholchronicle.comThe three Boholano congressmen joined in the orchestrated ouster move against Jose de Venecia, Jr as House Speaker in a marathon session.
Amomg the three solons, only newcomer Rep. Adam Jala (third district) articulated on the floor his stand for voting for the ouster of De Venecia. Last termers Rep. Edgar Chatto and Rep. Roberto Cajes manifested their "yes" vote calling for the ouster, but did not state their reasons during the nationally televised session yesterday.
In his statement, Jala said after "seven months as congressman, he noticed the non-efficient delivery of projects under the De Venecia leadership." He raised the question on transparency as well.
Voting yes to the ouster move, means standing what will do better in the House of Representatives, Jala said. The solon succeeded his father, ex-Rep. Eladio Jala.
The three Bohol solons, under Lakas, were political allies of de Venecia and with Pres. Arroyo as well. However, with the rift between the House Speaker and the Palace, they have to make a choice during yesterday's marathon session.
