Bohol Lakas-Kampi leaders will formalize today their support for Defense Sec. Guilbert "Gibo" Teodoro as the official standard bearer of the administration party in the coming elections.
Gov. Erico Aumentado who is the regional and provincial chairman of Lakas-CMD was seen in television report last night to be with Sec. Teodoro, a day before the administration party will meet today to pick their choice as presidential bet in 2010 polls.
Before he left for Manila, Gov. Aumentado confirmed that he is attending the executive meeting of Lakas-Kampi today where the announcement is expected to be done.
Representatives Edgar Chatto, Roberto Cajes and Adam Relson Jala were seen in a breakfast meeting with Sec. Teodoro yesterday as among the 90 congressmen who manifested support for Teodoro.
In today's Lakas-CMD meeting, MMDA Chairman Fernando Bayani will be the other choice for administration presidential bet.
If this will push through, Gov. Aumentado and the three Bohol solons are expected to stick it out with Pres. Arroyo up to election day. However, there are reports that Vice Gov. Julius Herrera will be joining the Nacionalista Party of Sen. Manuel Villas who is slated to visit Bohol this weekend. - Bohol Chronicle
