Bohol has 23 new mayors and 34 SB heads

Bohol now has 23 new mayors and at least 34 new Sanggunian presiding officers as the un-official tally of votes build up at the tabulation centers here following the May 14 elections.

It was bloody for Bohol’s first district of 14 towns and a city, when 10 lost their mayors to new ones.

Winners are Jose Ugduracion Jr. (Alburquerque), Jaime Quibel (Antequera), Alvin Uy (Baclayon), Victoria Chatto (Balilihan), Sulpicio Yu jr. (Calape), Lloyd Peter Lopez (Loon), Leoncio Evasco Jr. (Matibojoc), Benedicto Alcala (Panglao), Ireneo Calimpusan (Sikatuna) and Luna Piezas (Tubigon).

Meanwhile Dan Lim lead the re-electionists in the district while Vito Rapal (Corella), Apolinaria Balistoy (Cortes), Luciano Bongalos (Dauis) and Roberto Salinas (Catigbian) retained their seats.

On the second district, winning the top town seats are neophytes Nino Rey Boniel (Bien Unido), Germinio Relampagos (Dagohoy), Jose Jono Jumamoy (Inabanga), Tesalonica Boyboy (Pres. Carlos P. Garcia), Apolinar Gumanid Jr. (San Isidro), Claudio Bonior (San Miguel) and Judith Cajes for Trinidad. The district has now evened the number of new and re-electionist mayors at 7 each.

Retaining their seats while proving their constituent’s confidence are Elsa Tirol (Buenavista), Hermogenes Diezon (Clarin), Louis Thomas Gonzaga (Danao), Theresa Camacho (Getafe), Jimmy Torrefranca (Sagbayan), Juanario Item (Talibon) and Eutiquio Boyles (Ubay).

In the third district’s 19 towns, only 6 have to get a fresh taste of new leaders while 13 still retained their seats.

New mayors in the district are Pedro Miasco (Alicia), Gregoria Pepito (Batuan), Manuel Molina (Carmen), Sylvia Adame (Dimiao), Ma. Fe Piezas (Guindulman) and Rosemarie Imboy (Loay).

Mayors Paulino Amper (Anda), Fanuel Cadelina (Bilar), Sergio Amora Jr. (Candijay), Manuel Tan (Duero), Myrna Scheurs (Garcia Hernandez), Exuperio Lloren (Jagna), Leon Calipusan (Loboc), Telesforo Balagosa (Lila), Stephen Rances (Mabini), Wilson Pajo (Pilar), Ceferino Digal (Sevilla), Simplicio Maestrado Jr. (Sierra Bullones) and Henrietta Gan (Valencia) retained their posts.

In the First district’s vice mayoralty slates, retaining their legislative powers are Cecilia Rebosura (Antequera), Edwin Ladeza (Loon) and Pedro Fuertes (Panglao).

12 of the 15 new vice mayors are Cirilo Jalad Jr. (Alburquerque), Marilyn Uy (Baclayon), Dominisio Chatto (Balilihan), Ruben Co (Calape), Necita Digaum (Catigbian), Epifanio Bolando (Corella), Rodrigo Dennis Uy (Cortes), Jaime Jimenez (Dauis), Gabino Redulla (Maribojoc), Tranquilina Maniwang (Sikatuna), Alfredo Batausa (Tubigon) and city vice mayor Jose Antonio Veloso.

Of the second district’s 14 towns, 10 have elected new vice mayors. They are Petronilo Justiniane (Bien Unido), Ronald Lowell Tirol (Buenavista), Allan Rey Piezas (Clarin), Antonio Puertos (Dagohoy), Wenceslao Lao (Inabanga), Nestor Abad (Pres. CPG), Narona Valerie Ann (Sagbayan), Eustaquio Flor (San Isidro), Jonathan Reyes (san Miguel) and Francisco Gonzales (Trinidad).

Reelected District veeps are Jose Cepedoza (Danao), Cesar Fuentes (Getafe), Restituto Auxtero (Talibon) and Galicano Atup (Ubay).

In the third district, elected new vice mayors are Basilio Balahay Jr. (Alicia), Domenciano Deligero (Anda), Roland Emmanuel Leyson (Batuan), Norman Palacio (Bilar), Anna Dy (Candijay), Ramonito Torrefranca (Carmen), Danilo Guevencan (Dimiao), Florencio Tejano (Loay), Luisito Digal (Loboc), Frederick Raut (Lila), Carlito Fernandez (Sevilla) and Jorge Buslon (Valencia).

Patton Olano (Duero), Miguelito Galendez (Garcia Hernandez), Marivic Golosino (Guindulman) Teofisto Pagar Sr. (Jagna), Esther Tabigue (Mabini), Adolfo Espuelas (Pilar) and Alfredo Gamalo of Sierra Bullones retook their legislative seats. (rachiu/PIA)
