Press Release: Ormoc City Mayor Richard I. Gomez attended the Barangay Gender and Development (GAD) Planning Workshop at the Ormoc City Superdome earlier today, March 24.
It is a training-workshop attended by punong barangays, barangay secretaries, and SB Members assigned in GAD Planning in their respective barangays.
This is the Ormoc City government's initiative to reach out to every barangay to teach / enhance / give knowledge to barangay PBs and secretaries to let them understand deeper what is the Gender and Development program of the city.
The aforementioned activity is for the barangay's GAD planning and budget preparations for the year 2022, which is mandated/required by DILG for each barangay to submit through City Planning and Development Office for program alignment with the city's priorities.
The workshop is facilitated by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Liga nga mga Barangay, City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) and the Integrated Population Gender and Development Office (IPGDO).
