Invited speakers include Col. Jogy Leo Fojas, Commanding Officer of the 303rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division of the Philippine Army. Prosecutor Montano Medel of the Department of Justice will discuss on the prosecution of pilferage cases, while Transco lawyers Perla Centeno and Ma. Teresa Sales will speak on Anti Pilferage/ Anti-Fencing Laws

Engr. Briones told PIA that the aim of the summit is to elicit the help of the LGUs, government agencies and other entities in protecting power lines from pilferage. He also hopes to coordinate the efforts of each sector to form a strong network against the perpetrators of this illegal act.

Records from the Transco showed that the company lost a total of P2.5 million worth of angle bars since last year due to pilferage. It lost P1.3 in damage due to toppled towers in Brgy. Bagtic Silay City this year.

The Arroyo administration is presently campaigning for energy conservation nationwide with the successive increase of crude oil abroad. Part of the plan is to provide security to critical facilities such as power stations and lines to ensure a steady supply of energy in the country. (PIA-LOL)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
