The Bohol Chroniclewww.boholchronicle.comFresh from an overwhelming mandate as newly elected president of the provincial Federated Sangguniang Kabataan last Monday, Jane Censoria Cajes admitted she will be vying for the national SK federation elections on January.
"It is everyone's dream to make it that far," said the new provincial SK chair when interviewed by the Chronicle minutes after the election.
A student of Communications at the Assumption College in Antipolo, Cajes minced no words in saying that she is competent enough for the position.
The elected national federation president of the SK will sit as a commissioner of the National Youth Commission (NYC) which is directly under the Office of the President.
According to Cajes, since the SK was reinstituted, all the past national federation presidents came from Luzon.
"I think it's time that somebody from the Visayas and Mindanao be given the chance to be national president," she said.
