press releaseProvincial Board Member Alfonso "AE" Damalerio II of the first district was elected as the new president of the National Movement of Young Legislators (NMYL)-Bohol Chapter.
Damalerio, a neophyte PB member, pledged to sustain the dynamism of young legislators through their programs and advocacy for good governance, and to enhance existing projects, capability-building activities, and formulate a a comprehensive planning program to empower youth legislative programs in support to the provincial and national governments.
At present, Damalerio is also the president of the Bohol Sandugo Jaycees and secretary of Bohol Tri-media Association.
NMYL is a strong aggrupation of young legislators which include vice governors, PP members, municipal and city councilors aged 35 years old and below when elected into office.
The election was held at Bohol Tropics Resorts yesterday during the NMYL general membership meeting which officiated by DILG Provincial Director Rustica Mascarinas.
Other officers who were elected to serve until 2010 are Inabanga Vice Mayor Valerie Narona, executive vice president; Albur Councilor Ritchel Lim, vice president for 1st District; Buenavista Councilor Jurdel Anabiesa, vice president for second district, Bilar Vice Mayor Norman Palacio, vice president for third district; Tagbilaran City Councilor Nerio Zamora II, secretary general; Antequera Councilor Lanibel Labado, assistant secretary; Lila Vice Mayor Frederick Raot, auditor; Candijay Councilor Arnielo Olandria, assistant auditor; Inabanga Councilor Jovanna Jumamoy, treasurer; Carmen Councilor Nathaniel Binlod, assistant treasurer.
The PROs are Cortes Coucilor Derwin Gabato for the first district, San Isidro Councilor Doris Asoy for second district, Sierra Bullones Councilor Guideljan Acha for the third district.
The members of the Board of Directors are Maribojoc Councilor Zeus Manuel Descallar and Catigbian Councilor Doris Obena for the first district, Inabanga Councilor Josehp Logrono and Dagohoy Councilor Cesario Salingay for the second district, and Batuan Councilor Aries Polinar and Garcia-Hernandez Councilor Tita Gallentes for the third district.
