No, I don’t agree to such impression that Erico Aumentado is now a lame duck Governor!
Such speculation rises on the premise that he is now winding his days being on his third and last term as Governor and is not looking forward to any coming election.
I would say, such forecasting is inaccurate and comparable to the weather bulletins of PAGASA.
Most critics are connecting this impression to the alleged “indifference†and “callousness†of the Governor to issues hounding Capitol these days like the recent poverty funds anomaly and the presence of a lady tiger lurking right in the den of the highest official of the land, - the Governor’s Office.
*****
Granting that Erico is no longer eyeing any elective position after his term expires as Governor. It would be utterly absurd to say that it is the reason he is deaf and blind to the recent noise at the Capitol, particularly those involving corruption and moral ethics of employees.
I won’t even dare to think that Erico after long years of mastery in politics and carving an image as Mr. Clean (able to distance from the corruption and moral stigma attached to politicians), would just allow such lifetime record go down to the drain.
I would surrender my Ph.D. degree (Philosopong Dako) if I bow to such contention!

I have worked with the Governor as a public relation and media affairs consultant, and I am a living witness how he had withered every issue, big or small that comes his way.
The Aumentado way is “surgical and mysticalâ€. He does things beyond what ordinary mind can comprehend.
And I would also say, he won’t even be resting his political gloves this time, not yet.
He can always return to Congress where he is illustrious.
Remember, while he was congressman of the second district for three terms; his vision expanded not only for the 14 towns of his turf but the whole Bohol, the region and far wider, even for Boholanos outside the country.
On record, he was the only congressman during his time that crafted a Bohol Short & Long Term Master Development Plan, resulting to many overseas development assisted (ODA) projects, the fruits that all Boholanos are now enjoying.
His life is in politics and public service. That will be his way of life until the End of Days!
By 2010, you’ll find the guy still at the helm and is to stay for quite a long time!
No lame duck. Instead, Erico is the Great Mufasa in the epic movie The Lion King!
Thoughts to Ponder: “Rome was not built in a single day!â€
