There are nights that I remember
Red lips brushing mine
Perfumed hair scintillating
Brown eyes
on me
mine on yours
My strong hands holding you tightly
As our lips come close to close
And exchange salutations.

But if memory alludes me on occasion
the scent of your perfume on alleys
on streets in stores in rooms
thoughts of you permeate my mind.
So forgive me if i think of you,
for i am bewitched.

you have bewitched me
as a man who stares at the sun
as a moth on fire
so come bite my heart
taste and see
if it beats for you
you will see how pitiful love can make a man.

you have bewitched me.
and i am not ashamed of it.
