I wrote this poem when i was still in college. This was published in The Word, DWC-T's school organ.
I would like to dedicate this poem to all TB members who are graduating.
As I stand by in a nook,
Wandering minds somewhere down the brook
Ambition becomes a reality
Lofty dreams in destiny.
Amidst the sleepless nights,
Studying and working on assignments
Sacrifices from my parents
Their love, support, and encouragements.
Fresh from the gentle morning breeze
My world full of memories
There are times of loneliness
And times of happiness.
Brilliantly look on my gorgeous toga
Accompanied with the sound of the orchestra
Pace proudly in an aisle
With a million-dollar smile.
Immeasurable happiness on graduation
With garlands on my hands
At last! My ever wanted diploma,
This is for you, dear Papa and Mama.
Nindot bitaw sya Min, Poet di ay pod ka ha.
Nag-imagine pod ko when I graduated, galing lang kay akong aunt and uncle didto kay wala naman si ma & pa. Pero dili pa man siguro late to read it loud when I pray for them tonight.
Thank you for sharing.
