by: R. S. SuarezWhenever there’s a problem or an issue
At hand,
Nobody around understands;
The one who’s called the wise old man;
Forms a solution without a plan.
The wise old man has the strongest helping hands!
He’s got long hair purely white,
And he squints to emphasize
His sight;
His cane is old , but it’s painted bright;
He’s humble in his opinion always not usually right!
With nothing to call his own,
He’s got no family, but he’s never alone,
No job much less car or phone;
He’s been seen one minute in
The countries farthest zone,
And a while later-
Calming the storm in a local neighbor’s- home.
Mystery how he gets to and from?
Because he’s never to the supplicating voice once declined,
That’s why to this day wherever he may be,
Whatever he may need, he always find;
As another man said ; it’s his if it’s mine,
And I haven’t got it I’ll will for the wise old man surely find!
Some make sure he always eats , and others
That he safely properly sleeps;
When his needs exceed what he can himself fulfill,
It might be new glasses or tooth to be drilled,
There’s never any mention of a bill;
There all just happy he lives among them still!
On every Sunday morning ,
Even if the rain is pouring ;
The wise old in his Sunday’s best ,
Heads for the church to pray and confess,
And celebrate the holy day of rest;
Of all his days , places and events
This day at church honoring the Lord
Is his very best!
There’s a reason the wise old man
Is considered such an honored guest.
The greatest among you must serve,
And pick up his cross daily
The wise old man’’…
Observes and for this the Strength of
The Lord is for him unfailing!
