This song was one of the favorite song of my Papa Titing (my father's dad).
He died in 1979.
Leaving a wife and 7 beautiful children.
My Mama Luz (my grandmother) lived on for another 16 years without her husband.
They used to dance (cha cha, waltz etc) so much when they were alive together.
My father and my antes tell me that Papa Titing was a good dancer. Kalingaw mo sayaw.
The lyrics to this particular song describes his soul's longing for my grandmother; and for her longing for him.
Death, truly, could not separate them.
And in death, they are united again.
They are buried together. United in death, as they were in Life.
I cry when I hear this song. I can see them dancing....

Mitulo Na (Gihidlaw Intawn Ako)
~
Mitulo na mitulo na
Ang luha ning mga mata
Pagkapait pagkapait
Ang kamingaw pagkasakit
Nagadugo nagadugo
Ang dughan ko sa kasubo
Kay nawala kay nawala
Ang gugma ko ug himaya
What can I do what can I do
My life is nothing without you
Forgive me darling if I'm wrong
Come back to me where you belong
My love my love kaloy-a na
Balik ning mga bukton ko
Gihandom ka gihandom ka
Gihidlaw na intawon ako
What can I do what can I do
My life is nothing without you
Forgive me darling if I'm wrong
Come back to me where you belong
My love my love kaloy-a na
Balik ning mga bukton ko
Gihandom ka gihandom ka
Gihidlaw na intawon ako
Gihidlaw na intawon ako
Gihidlaw na intawon akoLinkback:
