Philippine Army conducts air medevac demo at PMA

The Philippine Army conducted an aerial medical evacuation (medevac) capability demonstration at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), Fort Gregorio del Pilar, Baguio City on May 12, 2022.

The Army’s critical care aeromedical team, composed of military doctors, nurses, pilots and their crew, conducted the simulated medevac for a blast victim at the PMA’s Borromeo Field. The simulation which capped the Army’s capability show is part of the line-up of activities to mark the graduation of PMA “Bagsik Diwa” Class of 2022. It is geared at encouraging 4th Class Cadets to join the country’s land force.

The Army is developing its aerial medical capability because it is the fastest way to transport a combat casualty from the injury site to the nearest hospital, according to Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S.  Brawner, Jr.

“We are developing the Army’s casualty evacuation because the life of each soldier counts. Even if we save only one life through this capability, it is already worth it,” Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., said in his remarks during the launch of the Army’s first air ambulance on March 2022.

The Army Chief said that the command is eyeing the deployment of three air ambulances within the near-term.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
