After the success of OPM volumes "Senti" and "Signature" which have both touchingly provide authentic compilations of OPM greats from track one to last, Vicor Music and Viva Records have found their vault of OPM retro still very much loaded with pieces that today’s record buyers would definitely admire to get reacquainted with.

This time, the major local retro libraries have released two CDs that largely pay homage to the hits of artists whose voices were immortalized through their original songs that kept being revived since then.

Dubbed as "Pinoy Sound Trip" (Loaded with Retro Hits), the two-volume set of mostly Tagalog compositions boast of singles sang by names whose musical legacies are defined and sealed through songs now part of the songbook of music-loving Pinoys.

"The names featured in these albums deserve the salute for having recorded some of our soundtracks now valued as timeless," expressed a top executive from the merged record labels.

Songs like "O Lumapit Ka," "Paniwalaan," "Oh Babe," and "Yakap" are in the list as shoo-ins, considering their reputation as instant recall songs today’s artists have found as good materials to cover. The singers behind them, namely, Ella del Rosario, Blue Jeans, Sing Sing, and Junior have made OPM richer and made the standard of music-making forever high.

Along with the expected ones, hard-to-find songs that have remained in Filipino consciousness all these years also fill-up the album such as Pat Castillo’s "Aso’t Pusa", Pol Enriquez’s "Ayoko Na Sa’yo", Flippers’ "Pangako", and Pabs Dadivas’s "Kung Sakali."
