Aurora de Crema – the best tasting café in western Misamis Oriental
By MARK FRANCISCO
IN El Salvador City, you will find the best tasting gourmet café in this part of Northern Mindanao.
That’s not a surprise since Aurora de Crema is founded and run by a chef who had her internship at the United States before finishing her culinary course here at Liceo de Cagayan University. On top of that, En was able to get herself employed in a cruise ship cruising the Carribean for four years before getting a barista certification.
All these diverse experiences made the Aurora de Crema menu a fusion of comfort food such as ultimate breakfast (spam, tocino, sausage, egg and pickled papaya), Aurora’s pancake, Aurora’s cheezy fries, chezzy dynamite, crazy nachos, tuna salad sandwich, alfredo pasta and creamy carbonara.
En’s barista side resulted in the following concoctions: Americano, latte, dark mocha, Spanish latte, white choco, caramel, hazelnut latte, nutcracker, Aurora’s best, ultimate chocolate, strawberry cream tea and wintermelon. But their bestseller is the bottled coffee since that’s how they started.
Aurora de Crema is popular for people who are on their way to their flights but it is also frequented by Kagay-anons and Misamisnons alike who not only love their food but the picturesque vibe of the place.
And here’s more good news! Aurora de Crema will be expanding their space to a new and bigger establishment by the first quarter of next year.
Aurora de Crema is located at Zone 1, Sinaloc, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental. They are open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily.
