Our colleagues from the isabela City Tourism in Basilan received the Tagima (Basilan) quincentennial historical marker, from the Philippine Navy via BRP Ivatan. It is the 25th of the 34 markers of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines along the route of the first circumnavigation of the world. Last week, BRP Tarlac brought to Zamboanga City the historical markers for Tagima, Cagayan (now Mapun, Tawi-Tawi), and Sulu, the last two were already picked up by the Municipality of Mapun and Provincial Government of Sulu. These markers will be unveiled in October 2021.
