Wow! What a darling you are! I thank you for this announcement....I must have to call my Mama after then because I am sure she is attending the Holy mass earlier. She is 85 years old today, isn't it a real ripe old age?

You are welcome, Ms. Bambi! It's a lemon cake with lemon custard filling. I had quite of a story with this lemon cake. A dear old man from across the street, asked me late last year if I could make him a lemon cake for his 75th birthday. I know I am maldita but there's one thing I can not do in my life: to disappoint old people and kids. (Naa ta sa in between diha heheheh). So, I found a way to make him the yummiest lemon cake I could possibly do within my little cooking power. I brought it to him and we had party in his house. When it was time to slice his birthday cake, he got a forkful and he closed his eyes and he said, this is lemon cake! That surely made my day! He died of cancer in mid September so from then on I named my lemon cake, Mr. Ball's lemon cake. That's the story of my lemon cake. So OT but sorry guys! Got to share that!

I told you, you are a darling based from Mr. Ball's lemon cake. I had baked the same yesterday for my evening dinner party (6 young girls)
it was for a late/(midnight coffee drinking. My husband, he can bake a very good cake that if he really wants and share his time.

Now, from Birthday to Camote and then Tai !(Sorry). I remember, during our childhood days in Inabanga. Basta gani mais saksakan ug kamote ang kamote ray among kan-on, humay gani. mahabilin kamote rapod. Poor Mama!...She likes camote very much that is why her blood sugar is on and off.

Thank you Pare....... This was her Nov. 18, 2005 Birthday ....i gave her a present that little cute pamangkin (she is daughter of my Mama's apo), the first time she met them. I ordered them to be home with other 2 apos and ur-apos. This photo was taken upon arrival from Germany pa gjod....and she was complaining that I came late kay wa kunoy "HIKAY"......This is my beloved Mama!

Farmer's Market? Ok ra but nahutdan nako'g fennel bulb busa didto nlang nko gipalit sa grocery store. I was able to buy corn, tangerines, oyster mushroom, cilantro, apples and collard greens.

It was on her 83rd B-day, 2005 where I just arrived exactly on her Birthday....had talked to her just right now, and I miss her very much.
She asked when we will be arriving.....answered to be patience enough in 4 weeks pa, and funny as she is.....she said, why too late someone is interested to marry me, hope you will arrive on time.

Musta na? Sorry my birthday greetings to your mom is a bit late. But I only saw this thread this morning. I woke up quite early although it is a sunday because I went to bed early last night too.

The past days I had lots of pain in my "likod" due to my work and addiction to TB so I tried to discipline myself. I make sure na I go to bed earliear and also take a walk at least 30 minutes/day.

I coudnt help browsing TB and saw this interesting topic.

Bambi, Doy Bran is right. Your mom really looks very much like his lola Nating.

No......while talking to her through Phone, she was coughing hardly and complaining gi-ubo kuno siya sa pancit ray giluto sa helper sa sister ko, way ihaw daw. Had promised to ihaw for her one anykind what he wants, she was very happy and telling me that Tagbilaran is rushly improving and there are lot of nice places to visit and lot ot things to buy but getting mahal na daw.

C2H4, if I talked to Mama the more I miss her, she is telling lot of crazy stories which my sister told me she is really getting old na gjod and
not easy to handle anymore.
