His character, his sense of humor and adventure, and most of all, his good genes.

Character: During one of Sagbayan's tough mayoralty race many decades ago between X and Y, X was from an affluent blood, he could afford to buy one vote for two pesos. Y was destitute, he could only buy one vote for one peso. With the people's poor living conditions, my dad was convinced they would go for the highest bidder. As the leader of the church, he went house to house, giving a peso more for Y and this was what he said: Now, that you have sold your souls to the same amount, it matters not anymore. I am not endorsing X or Y. They have both sinned. I just want you to learn how to use your conscience.

Sense of humor: Countless that I thought I or my dad could die of heart attack!

Sense of adventure: Our weekends during our childhood days were always fun, whether it was strolling from Cogon to Taloto District on an early Saturday morning or swimming at Caingget beach on a hot Sunday afternoon.

Good Genes: Ronald (35), nurse, based in Australia with his wife and two English and math wizards
Sharon (33), nurse, based in England with her husband and three brilliant monickers
Benjie (32), gov't employee a.k.a. baby donyatic, single, based in the Philippines
Rose (30), foreign expert, based in the sex capital of the world with her horny hubby, and two fruitcakes, er, geeks

there are many things that i love about my father.first, he taught me (and the rest of his children) the value of education. he always say to me even when i was young "nga dili makawat ang unsay nahasulod sa utok mao nga mo eskwela gyud ug tarong"...he came from a poor family, and he was a working student kaniadto didtos UB sa tagbi until such time nipasar siyag lawyer-cpa. second, he is honest. he taught me never to take any bondpaper or paper clips from his office kay ingon siya "it's a form of kawat". simbako! di tawon ko k******n hehe but i realized later on that he was right. third, never siya ma late sa govt bank nga iyang gitrabahoan sa tagbilaran. and lastly, my father and my mother tried their very best to mold us into better persons by inculcating good values like guiding us to the church every sunday. (akong papa ang haligi, ug akong mama ang lamdag sa panimalay). but they are not perfect as well....mag bugno pud panagsa. hehe.

nanagat sila na bagyo,pero dili sa bohol nahitabo sa quezon province didto man mi nakapuyo pod.till now wala mi kahibalo if buhi pa sya or patay na.that's why were still hoping na mubalik sya.

my father is not the best in the world, yet i always find the good things about him.

my undying affection for the Bisaya language has its roots from my father's lifestyle. when i was still a kid he always gave me a copy of the Bisaya Magazine. he never missed a copy of Bisaya, though he had to buy the weekly edition in tagbilaran, 100 kilometers from anda. no books in our house. no English magazines. no newspapers. but papa filled our house with Bisaya magazines.

ah, i remember, we did not own any house. we were just occupants in my grandparents' house (father's side). number of people dwelling in that antiquated house: 25-30.

My father, wala kahuman skwela, he wants to be a doctor, thats his greatest dream, apan kay kabus lagi wala matuman.. Pero bisan paman iyangÂ´gibuhat ang tanan, para lang ma raise amo family..

Once, na-addict siya sa sugal, but my mom never give up, wala jud niya kasab-e ako papa, ang iya gibuhat, nag-ampo ra jud siya nga unta malamdagan pag-usab ang huna-huna s ako papa para mobiya sa bisyoug magtarong sa kinabuhi. Ita takes 3 months jud, grade 6 ko ato. Then pag-uli sa ako papa, he's changed into a better person. He is a comedian in the family

He always told us that if we dream, don't aim high, kana ra jud daw ang posible namo maabot kay kung mangandoy ug habog kaayo kung mahagba daw sakit pud kaayo..

I'm proud of him, and I love him

Just a list of why I love my Dad:

1) He fed me grapes when I was a little kid, lol. (he came back from Saudi when I was about 9 months old and ingoon siya that when i saw him the first time, i didnt want to be picked up by him. But then gi tagaan ko ug grapes ni dad and then ni open up kono ko niya. hahahaha! Daddy..

2) Hmm, for always being a good provider for the family.

3) For disciplining me when I overstepped my bounds. For showing me right from wrong.

4) For always telling me to respect my Mom.

5) For his humility. My dad is a very simple and humble man. He would give everything and provide everything for his wife and kids first before he gets anything.

6) For his love of dogs, and teaching me how to be patient with animals.

7) Showing me how to care for Lolo Ciano; showing me how to change Lolo's diapers, feed him through a gastro tube, teaching me how to care and the basis of medicine. To Care.

8 ) Always reminding me to watch over my siblings. To never forget my siblings and at times sacrifice for their behalf

9) Just for being my one and only DAD.
