[WEBINAR ALERT] The roads may be a very dangerous place at times. The number of road traffic deaths in the Philippines has been rising over the last ten years. According to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Report in 2021, the number of road traffic deaths increased by 39%, from 7,938 in 2011 to 11,096 deaths. According to the MMARAS data, out of the 72,000 road crashes in Metro Manila that were recorded in 2022, most of them were caused by road rage. Everyone has heard the term road rage, and most people have probably experienced some degree of it while driving.
To address the current issues surrounding road rage, a webinar entitled “Nag-iinit ka na ba? Baka ma-road rage ka!” will be conducted on May 29, 2024, Wednesday, 2:00–5:00 p.m. The webinar aims to raise awareness about road rage and its impacts on individuals and society and understand the triggers of road rage and learn coping strategies that drivers can use to prevent road rage incidents from occurring and escalating; enlighten the public about the different laws relating to road rage and promote safe driving practices and respectful behavior on the road that can contribute to a safer driving environment for everyone; and cite actual events of road rage and how they were handled.
