‘BILANG PILIPINO, NAKAKAHIYA’
Atty. Vic Rodriguez, the spokesperson of presumptive president Bongbong Marcos Jr., lamented the protests organized by Filipino communities in Australia, stressing that it is not “Filipino culture” to humiliate fellow Filipino outside the Philippines.
Rodriguez also said it is the discretion of the Australian government whether the visit of Marcos Jr. to the country is acceptable or not.
“Bilang Pilipino, nakakahiya. Hindi ugali ng Pilipino na hiyain at pahiyain ang kapwa niya Pilipino sa isang bansa na hindi naman Pilipinas,” Rogriguez said during a press conference on Tuesday.
“I think the best authority or person to say whether he is welcome or not is the Australian government — not fellow Filipinos na nandoon lang din, punong-puno ng poot at pait ang puso,” he added.
