President Duterte hit Facebook in his address to the nation on Monday, saying the social media giant cannot lay down policies for his administration and prevent him from "espousing the objectives of government."
Last week, Facebook took down more than 200 accounts belonging to two networks engaging in coordinated activities to mislead users, primarily in the Philippines and in the region.
One of the networks was linked to the Philippine military and the police. It involved 57 Facebook accounts, 31 Pages and 20 Instagram accounts that focused on domestic audience.
