The two-day Regional Convergence Initiative for Sustainable Rural Development (RCI-SRD7) planning workshop revisits the Carood Convergence Area Development Plan (CADP) in 2017.
The four convergence agencies, namely, the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Agrarian Reform, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and the Department of Interior and Local Government enhanced the original Carood development plan. The enhanced CADP will be targeted by the different agencies in their annual programs and projects in 2023-2025.
Cirilo Namoc, DA-7 Regional Technical Director for Operations Division and focal for the RCI-SRD7, floated the idea to create a model area for all agencies to converge their resources. Details of which will be discussed by the RTWG members in the next meeting.
The Carood Watershed Convergence is composed of the 7 municipalities of Alicia, Anda, Candijay, Guindulman, Mabini , Pilar, and Ubay.
The Planning Workshop was held at the Philippine Coconut Authority Conference Room, Maguikay, Mandaue City, Cebu.
