PH ENERGY PLAN PRESENTATION: Department of Energy Assistant Secretary Robert B. Uy addresses the stakeholder participants during the Philippine Energy Plan ‎‎‎2017-2040 presentation last 1 December at Days Hotel in Iloilo City. This information, education and communication campaign aims to provide the necessary knowledge to energy stakeholders on the full implementation of the plan as well as the accomplishments and various roadmaps in the development of the energy sector.

(Taguig City). What Christmas break with the Filipinos’ high utilization of electricity to light up lanterns, trees and other festive decor during the Yuletide season?

Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Alfonso Cusi on Tuesday announced the year-ending information, education and communication (IEC) session set for Dec. 19 on the Philippine Energy Plan in Taguig City.

The IEC is the third in a series following sessions in General Santos last November 29, Iloilo City on December 1 and Baguio City on 5 December 5 – all reaching out to energy consumers and stakeholders across the country.

“We are doing these to increase public awareness on the government’s direction for the energy sector, because we want them to get involved in the execution of our plans and programs,” said Cusi.

“Communicating the Philippine Energy Plan ‎2017-2040 to our stakeholders is aligned with our thrust of empowering the Filipinos, especially on their energy choices for the better,” he added.

The PEP serves as a blueprint to guide energy stakeholders and boost investors’ confidence in the industry.

The plan, according to Cusi, is anchored on the Duterte administration’s Ambisyon Natin 2040 program and the Philippine

Development Plan (PDP) ‎2017-2022.

PEP encapsulates the administration’s priority agenda and the eight (8) strategic directions in energy to support the country’s economic development, said the DOE chief.

The salient features of the PEP ‎2017-2040 include the energy demand and supply outlook, sub-sectoral plans, programs and roadmaps for the short- to long-term planning horizons, and the recent policy initiatives, such as Executive Order (EO) No. 30 and the Department’s Energy Resiliency Policy.

Cusi emphasized the benefits of EO No. 30 in hastening the processing of energy projects for their fast realization.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
