Press Release: The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) District Eastern Visayas conducted a Commander’s Evaluation on Summer Lifeguard Training of Class 01-2022 in Ormoc City, Leyte.
The said activity evaluated the students’ capability in saving lives at sea. They demonstrated basic swimming strokes, lifeguard techniques, Basic Life Support (BLS), first aid, and spinal injury management.
The said initiative was one of the efforts of the PCG District Eastern Visayas to prepare its units for the anticipated influx of tourists in beach resorts and other maritime tourism destinations in the region during the summer season.
