Dabawenyos, especially those traveling from the South to the North of Davao City or those living near Carlos P. Garcia Highway (Diversion Road), will now have access to available public transport after the launch of Interim Bus System Project.

During the project launch, Mayor Inday Sara Duterte, "Transportation and mobility play an important role in communication, trade, tourism, and other forms of exchange between people. As such, there is a need for the public to access to safe and efficient modes of transportation and travel.”

“With the Interim Bus System Project, we hope to bring convenience and ease of transport to the riding public through the deployment of buses in selected areas”, the Mayor added.

The Carlos P. Garcia route has 24 bus stops and will traverse from the corner of Ulas Bypass Road to the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) in Sasa and vise versa.

The bus will be accessible to the residents near the corner McArthur Highway Bypass Road, Near La Vista Monte Subdivision, Near Matina Pangi Intersection, Las Terrazas, Gap Farm, NHA Maa, Choice Mart, Crocodile Park, Corner Jade Valley, Corner El Rio, Fronting San Ignacio School, Shell (Monclair), Buhangin Gym, San Isidro School, NHA Buhangin, Commission on Audit (COA), Laverna Hills, Camp Catitipan, Airport Layby, Landmark III, Relocation (Juanas Kubo), Panacan Junction, NCCC, MinCor.

Buses for this route will start on February 5, 2021, from 6AM to 7PM. Bus interval will be approximately 15-20 minutes.

Present during the launching ceremony is Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Chairman Atty. Martin B. Delgra III, LTFRB XI Regional Director Nonito Llanos III, Metro Shuttle Corporation CEO De Carlo “Oyo” L. Uy, Councilor Conrado Baluran, Land Transportation Office XI Regional Director Atty. Niel Cañedo, Police Regional Office XI Director PBGen Filmore B Escobal, City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) Chief Dionisio Abude, and Philippine Commission for the Urban Poor Commissioner Norman B. Baloro.
