The sustained insurgency-free status of Region XI is the result of good governance and untiring support of the people in the entire Davao Region.

This was cited by Philippine Army's 10th Infantry (Agila) Division (10ID) commander Major General Jose Eriel M. Niembra in his message during the Stakeholders' Recognition, August 14, in Mawab, Davao de Oro.

"Good governance and stakeholders support are the key factors to sustaining an insurgency-free Davao Region," Niembra said.

He admitted that the insurgency problem cannot be done alone by the military, stressing that "we cannot do it alone, time-tested na hindi kaya ng military lang ang insurgency problem because this is not a simple military problem requiring only a military solution."
