City Health Office ADVISORY NO.2: novel Coronavirus nCOV2019
Today, January 30, the DOH confirmed that One Patient Under Investigation (PUI) is POSITIVE for nCOV2019 after Confirmatory Lab results.
The DOH continues to guarantee the public that all precautionary measures are being taken to halt the spread of the virus.
Likewise, the LGU GENSAN through the City Health Office- Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit is in close coordination with the DOH Regional Office and All Health Facilities in the City, to make sure that we continue to have a strong surveillance system. There are NO CONFIRMED CASES of nCOV2019 in General Santos City at this time.
City Mayor Ronnel Chua Rivera directed the Local Health Board to create an Inter-Agency Task Force which shall convene tomorrow, January 31, to develop measures that will ensure public health and safety.
The DOH Bureau of Quarantine remains on HIGH ALERT and is maintaining strict border surveillance from all
ports of entry.
The CITY HEALTH OFFICE urges everyone to avoid crowded places, maintain a healthy lifestyle and good personal hygiene.
The public is encouraged to remain calm and vigilant at all times.

H-ave your temperature checked daily for fever
A-void Large Crowds
