DI-MG members Alias Abu Muktar and Alias Abu Muslim were thankful to the government, especially to the 51st Infantry Battalion (51IB), for assisting them in their surrender on February 27 at the battalion headquarters. The two also turned over one M16A1 rifle and an M1 carbine.

It was during the information drive conducted by the 51IB in far-flung barangays of Piagapo where the two decided to return to the folds of the law.
